Who I Am Makes A Difference
Throughout this unit we watched youtube videos such as "Susan Boyle - Britian's Got Talent", "Landau Eugene Murphy Jr." & Jackie Evancho - America's Got Talent"...this is one unit where the kids really got to know themselves a little better. The first video is Landau's first audition...amazing to watch the the judge's/audience reaction when he first walked out onto the stage & to the judge's comments before & after this performance. The second video is of Landau performing his last song before winning.

“Make A Difference”
Our History classes have been learning how students can make a difference and how students can take control of their own learning. Over the past couple of weeks, the students have written their own constitution, roles & responsibilities of each and every team member, and consequences that follow if students choose not to adhere to them. The students have watched videos such as: Make A Difference, The Teddy Stallard Story, Life on a Train, Dalton Sherman: I believe in me. Do you?. The purpose has been that in order to build a successful learning community, requires everyone’s participation. There is no “I” in TEAM…or “ME” in community.
